Troy grew up in the Elk Horn-Kimballton community and started farming in 1985. He started selling crop insurance in 1996 and began selling all lines of insurance in 2004. Troy started Petersen Agency in 2012 and later purchased The Viking Agency in the spring of 2014. Kyle joined the agency shortly after in October. Troy enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and family. He’s been married to his wife Cheryl for 35 years. Troy enjoys supporting the local school disctrict and being involved in community events.

Kyle graduated from Elk Horn-Kimballton High School in 2004. During High School he was heavily involved in athletics (Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track). He attended college right out of high school and in 2009 enlisted in the United States Army. In 2010, he deployed to Iraq and earned numerous military awards to include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge and a Certificate of Achievement. Kyle was honorably discharged after serving more than 5 years in the active duty. After his departure he enlisted in the National Guard and started working in Exira at Viking Insurance Agency. He currently resides in Exira and is currently serving in the United States military.  Kyle is a proud member of the American Legion. Kyle has a wife, Alicia, and 4 children, Hailie, Brooklynn, Tristan and Evelyn.  Kyle loves spending his free time with his family and friends, officiating at various local sporting events, attending his kids' and Spartan events and camping with his wife and kids.

Dustin graduated from Elk Horn-Kimballton High School in 2008. During High School he was involved in many different activities, including baseball, football, wrestling, golf and FFA. He attended DMACC for two years studying Ag Business. After two years at DMACC he decided to come back to help on the family farm with Troy. In 2011, he began working at Petersen Insurance Agency upon the business's opening. Dustin is a member of the Better Elk Horn Club and is the Chairman of Elk Horn's annual Danish celebration, Tivoli Fest. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, officiating basketball and baseball, and supporting Exira-EHK's athletics, as well as the community's Little League program.
